フロントマンのJasamine White-Gluzは手持ちの楽器に頼りすぎていると感じギターを捨て、Sonic Boom（Spacemen 3のPeter Kember）と共にモジュラー・エレクトロニカの楽曲を制作。その時の専門知識やレベルアップさせてたDIYレコーディングが今作に生かされている。シングル”Birthmark”は90年代のダンス・ロックRepublicaとDeftonesのフェージング・ファズを融合させ、"Dream Rats"ではシンセ／ブラストビート／カウボーイのリードなどのポップソングを3分で収めてみせた。進化し続けるNo Joyの成果が詰まった傑作。
